Expanding repeats
For music that has repeats or jumps, it can be easy to lose your place:
“What repeat number am I on?”
“Where exactly do I go after the Da Segno?”
Our “Expand repeats” feature helps you avoid this confusion. If you enable this feature, we will automatically duplicate notation appropriately, such that repeats and jumps are expanded/unrolled.
For example, this...
...becomes this:
And this...
...becomes this:
This way, you don’t have to keep track of things. Just play.
To activate “Expand repeats”, click at bottom right to open player settings, then find the “Appearance” section and click “Advanced” to show more options:
Next to “Repeats,” click “Expand.”
Availability
The “Expand repeats” feature is disabled in the following cases:
- The notation editor is active
- The “Respect author’s stave breaks” checkbox is checked
- Focus mode is active
In these cases, you won’t see “Repeats” in the advanced Appearance options.
