Slice sharing settings: Notation
Use the sharing settings to specify how notation should appear for anybody who’s viewing your slice.
To open these settings, edit the slice and look for “Settings for others…” in the sharing menu at upper right:
These settings can only be edited by customers in a paid plan.
Here’s what the screen looks like:
Each of the notations has a dropdown menu, where you can specify the default visibility for slice viewers. The options are:
- Pitch names. By default, pitch names are disabled — meaning people viewing your slice will not be able to use the feature unless they have a paid plan. You can change this so that your slice viewers can indeed access the feature, either seeing the pitch names immediately or having the ability to turn them on via the player settings.
- Rhythm counts. By default, rhythm counts are disabled — meaning people viewing your slice will not be able to use the feature unless they have a paid plan. You can change this so that your slice viewers can indeed access the feature, either seeing the rhythm counts immediately or having the ability to turn them on via the player settings.
- Empty staves. This controls whether empty staves are hidden by default.
- Repeats. This controls whether repeats are expanded by default.
- Title. This controls whether the title is displayed atop the notation.
- Bar numbers. This controls whether bar numbers are shown in every bar, or every system, or not at all.
- Instrument names. This controls whether instrument names are shown in every system, or just the first system, or not at all.
