Hello and Welcome to MoveOverMozart It's so nice to meet you! I'm a music teacher with a passion for helping people just like you organize their daily music practice routine.

Monique, later went on to earn her master’s degree in piano performance. After years of intense practice, she began to struggle with bouts of severe tendinitis. This led her to complete her research at the Royal Academy of Music, London, England where she specialized in historical musicology and earned a Master of Philosophy degree. While living in London for over 10 years, she also conducted intense research in France, at the University of Strasbourg, re-discovering the works of Marie Jaëll. Jaëll’s philosophy, The Musical Touch became the central focus for Monique managing her tendinitis. Upon returning to North America, Monique earned her K-12 teaching endorsement in music with an added master’s degree in education.
After teaching in the K-12 setting for several years and becoming a curriculum lead for all the music teachers in her district and the technology lead in her department, she took note of the shifting direction in music learning and wanted to continue in the direction of blended learning. For over 20 years, Monique’s purpose has always been to give the best support and guidance for her students as they ascend in their musical journey. While technology has always been part of her teaching toolbox, she has now successfully combined technology with tradition in her online platform.
