Bio
Welcome to my channel,
I have been studying guitar both privately and formally for over 27 years, and have been happy to teach jazz/pop/rock guitar, improvisation, and theory over the past 20 years to students of all levels and backgrounds. I get inspired learning the language of jazz and so when I’m not busy teaching, I spend my time transcribing and studying the solos of the masters.
I created this channel to share my transcriptions, lessons, and practice ideas with you. Apart from further developing your improvisational language, the value of these transcriptions lies mainly in the guitar neck position and tabbing choices, I always try to make my guitar tabbing choices based on the easiest way to play, and most lines can be related to a particular 'CAGED' position. I believe the easier to play the more likely that you will use in your own improvisations.
I hope these resources will be of use to you wherever you are in your jazz guitar journey.
Best,
Steve
