Stefano Fariselli, at the age of 13, enrolled in the conservatory
G. Rossini in Pesaro where he studied flute. In the meantime he
approaches jazz music by studying tenor saxophone
At 17, he got his first gig as a saxophonist, flutist in a dance music orchestra.
At 18 he worked as a sound engineer in the AREA International Popular Group, touring throughout Italy and Portugal. Also during those years he participated tours in Spain as a sound engineer for the group STORMY SIX.
At the age of 20 he had his first experiences playing jazz ,first with his older brother Patrizio, then with other young musicians in the area such as: S. Travaglini, M. Tamburini, R. Monti, G. Oleandri.
At 22 he formed his first jazz quartet, with R. Manzoli, D. Barbieri, A. Pasinato, playing in various jazz clubs in Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Tuscany.
At the age of 24 he was hired by one of the most highly regarded Italian orchestras in Europe (Lello Tartarino) and worked with it in Sweden, Germany and Finland.
At 26 he left for New York where he participated in several jam sessions, met and studied with G. Coleman, P. Sanders.
At the age of 27, he moved to Milan, where he worked as a session player in recording studios; played jazz in Milanese clubs and collaborated with a number of musicians including W. Calloni, S. Cerri, A. Tavolazzi, P. Ghetti, M. Manzi, G. Bombardini, G. Capiozzo and P. Fariselli. In the same period he formed two quartets the "Four for Fusion" and “Quadricheco."
At the age of 29, always maintaining his work in the jazz field, he participated in various Tours with A. Mingardi, the Stewe Rogers Band, the Stadio, etc.
Since 1991 he has devoted himself to the composition and realization of music for children (Albero Azzurro), for documentaries, for educational videos on natural food and circus music. In the same year he participates together with G. Mattei, C. Fabbri and F. Petretti, in the creation of the saxophone quartet "Ti Sha Man Nah" that with which he ranks first in the competitions of "Barga Jazz", "Summertime in Jazz" in Prato and "Music Inn" held in the homonymous jazz club in Rome. With the above-mentioned quartet he composes and arranges the songs that are used for concerts and for the recording of the four CDs that the group has to its credit.
In 1995, he created the "Method in Music" project dedicated entirely to teaching by collaborating with saxophone, clarinet and flute teachers from major Italian, German and Spanish conservatories. He has played and given lectures/concerts in the conservatories of Milan, Fermo, Adria and Cesena with the Ti Sha Man Nah saxophone quartet. He carries out teaching activities in private music schools where he teaches saxophone, jazz improvisation and ensemble music, ear education in preschools.
Since 2000 he has dedicated himself to the composition and realization of original music and arrangements for musical projects ranging from pop music with arrangements for strings for C. Cremonini's tour, arrangements for Big Bend performed at the "Agave di Cristallo" award held in Lerici where he performed with actor Enzo De Caro. He takes care of the arrangements and studio recording of the CD "Anna 24 12" for the emerging singer Annamaria Rizzi and for Paola Sabbatani with the realization of the CD "Vite Andate". Collaborates with actress Lelia Serra on the music and poetry project "The Wives of the World," for the Qaos company realizes the music for the musical “Hairspray."
From 2004 to 2007 he was artistic director of the jazz club "Blue's Cafe" in Cesenatico. He has played with Bruce Forman, Joe Garrison, Ehud Aschery, Max Furian, James Zollard, Chuc McPerson, Oscar Zenari, Pancho and Pepe Ragonese, Giovanni Giorgi, Ed Cherry, Alex Marchetti Big Band, Michele Francesconi, Roberto Monti, Roberto Bartoli, etc..., with Massimo Manzi, Paolo Ghetti, Marco Pretolani and Enrico Farnedi (leader) he recorded the CD "Rico and the Undertakers”. With: Fabrizio Venturelli violin, Michela Zanotti viola, Anselmo Pelliccioni cello, Paolo Ghetti double bass he realizes by composing and arranging for strings the project "Fiato agli Archi" an innovative musical context for experimentation. With Randy Bernsen guitarist from Miami USA, which sees him collaborating first with Zawinul Syndacate and then with the J. Pastorius Big Band. In Tenerife he plays at the "Finca dell'Arte and the "Faro jazz club" in Los Cristianos and Las Americas on the Adeje coast.
Since 2010/11 in addition to teaching and concert activity he collaborates with Paolo Sereno, Andrea Costa and with the Argentine group "Del Barrio" and with Del Barrio he participates in the festival of Santander and Toledo in Spain and in Ljubljana in Slovenia.
Theater performance with Lelia Serra "le Mogli del Mondo" poetry reading and music, in theaters of Longiano, Parma and Cesenatico.
In 2012 he realizes together with his sister Loretta and Annamaria Nanni the theatrical show "Questione di Stile" geometries in movement, a project that sees the interaction between music dance and painting. Wins with "Naima for a Dancer" arrangement for soprano marimba and dance written for the national competition for arrangement called by the Naima Jazz club in Forlì.
In 2013 he participated as a basker with the projects "One Four Saxophone" and "Ritratti Musicali" in the festivals of Pennabilli (RN), Santa Sofia (FC), Bra (CN), Mojoca (Moio della Civitella (SA), etc.
Since 2014, together with his partner Sabrina Grandoni, he has created Vivi Armonico with which he brings his musical production to wellness fairs by making 16 CDs of music for psychophysical well-being and the mind under his own label "Vivi Armonico Records.”
In 2018 it resumes the Method in Music created in 1995 by revamping it, expanding the catalog.
In 2019, he formed the group "Ethnos" together with Andres Langer, Andrea Atto Alessi and Stefano Calvano giving birth to their first record soon to be released by Vivi Armonico Records.
In 2020 development Method in Music, private teaching activity, teaching saxophone, flute, clarinet and jazz improvisation at music school in Ravenna Mama's ; at jazz school in Cesena.
In 2021 Together with Marco Rossi and Gilberto Gibi Mazzotti he gives birth to the "Open Trio”. He teaches saxophone, flute, clarinet and jazz improvisation at Mama's music school in Ravenna ; at popular music school in Forlimpopoli; at jazz school in Cesena. In the same year together with his brother Patrizio Fariselli they start this unreleased duo where they will play in Alessandria for Alessandria jazz club.
In 2022 teacher of saxophone, flute, clarinet and jazz improvisation at music school in Ravenna Mama's ; at popular music school in Forlimpopoli. Collaboration with the Maderna Conservatory of Cesena with the" Method in Music". Audio recording of poetry reading and music with and by Prof. Valter Valeri. Participates in the Cesenatico Jazz Festival with a quartet under his own name. With the formation Area Open Project plays in Forlì for Forlimpopoli jazz, in Cesenatico at the Sand gate beach bar and to be held at the Giorgio Gaber Opera Theater Milan (commemoration 50 years CRAMPS). Also in 2022 in duo formation with Patrizio Fariselli at Ribalta Marea Cesenatico (cultural review) ; in Rome at Cinema teatro Aquila, at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna (to take place for Ravenna Manifestazioni Foundation); Theater performance with Lelia Serra "le Mogli del Mondo" poetry reading and music at the Rimbomba in Bertinoro.
