I wrote these five lines with inspiration taken from various John Frusciante's (Red Hot Chili Peppers) live jamming videos. They are not exactly "how to play like" videos. Instead, they are more my own unique interpretation of Frusciante's style.
These lines demonstrate various soloing and jamming ideas used by Frusciante - clever use of simple motifs, vigorous picking and bending, dynamics, pentatonic patterns and runs, use of sixth intervals, rhythmic displacements, arpeggio fragments, palm muting, pedal tones... and much more. I encourage you to use these ideas to develop your own licks and lines.
Suitable from beginner to intermediate players. Basic knowledge of pentatonic, major and minor scales, and simple rock soloing techniques are expected.
Content: Tab sync'ed with video demonstration (no talking).
