Tapping
Here’s how to notate tapping in tablature using the Soundslice editor.
Tapping is a technique for fretted instruments in which you play a note by tapping the fretboard directly, rather than plucking the string closer to the instrument’s soundhole. Soundslice puts the letter “T” above tablature to indicate a tap.
Adding tapping
- Select a note. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
- In the editor’s top panel, open the “Tab” section and click the “Toggle tap” icon . Or search the editor for “Toggle tap.” Or use a keyboard shortcut.
Removing tapping
- Select the note that has the tapping. (It doesn’t matter if you select it within the tablature staff or the standard-notation staff.)
- You’ll see the tapping icon in the current notations section. Click that icon to remove the tapping.
