Basic slice details

The slice details screen is where you edit a slice’s name, artist and description.

To access the slice details, edit your slice and click the button at the top of the page. Then choose “Edit slice details…”

You can also just click the slice title at upper left.

You’ll see a screen like this:

The available fields are:

• Title — The slice’s name.
• Artist — An optional artist or composer name.
• Description — An optional textual description, which will be displayed in a sidebar next to your slice if you post the slice to your channel or include it in a private course or for-sale course.

What sort of formatting can I use in the description?

It’s limited to plain text for now. There’s no way of making text bold or italic. But we will automatically convert any URLs to clickable links.
