Importing tab-only music from PDFs/images
Our PDF upload feature supports tab-only music — that is, tablature without corresponding standard notation. But the support is a bit limited. Here’s what you need to know.
Current limitations

| Note rhythms | Every note gets imported as a quarter note. | You can quickly change notes’ rhythmic values using the “Decrease duration” and “Increase duration” editor commands. The default keyboard shortcuts are + and -, respectively. |
| Tuning | For six-string tab, we assume standard guitar tuning. For four-string tab, we assume standard bass-guitar tuning. | You can change this in our editor by editing the instrument settings. |
