March 21, 2019Today we’ve launched a new feature that many people have asked for: a left-handed view of the fretboard visualization. -
New: Change playback speed using BPM
February 22, 2019Today we’ve changed how our playback speed selector works: you now specify the speed in BPM (beats per minute) instead of a percentage, if you’re using synthetic playback. “Real” recordings, such as MP3s or videos, still use a percentage. -
Introducing the loop button
February 7, 2019We’ve made a big change to our player today: it now has a prominent loop button, which makes it simple to loop a section of music. -
New: ‘Expand repeats’ automatically unfolds repeated music
October 15, 2018Today we’re happy to announce a new feature that makes it easier to follow music that has lots of repeats or jumps. It’s called “Expand repeats.” -
New: Chord chart view with chord diagrams

YouTube now supports 25 percent speed
March 7, 2018Good news from our friends at YouTube: they’ve made it so that YouTube videos can be slowed down to 25 percent speed. -
Player improvement: toggle video position

November 21, 2016Soundslice is amazing for syncing notation with real audio/video recordings. But in some cases, a student might want to focus 100% on a video, without the distraction of synced notation. Or a teacher might want to enable our excellent slowdown/looping/navigation features for a video that doesn’t have music notation available. Today, we’ve launched a collection of features that make all of that possible. -
