We continue to improve our sheet music scanner feature on a regular basis. Here are the latest improvements:

Much faster results

We’ve made some major improvements to our technical infrastructure, resulting in much faster scan times. It’s anywhere from 2 to 10 times faster, depending on the nature of your music.

Automatic rotation detection

We now automatically detect whether your image has been rotated 90 degrees — a common hiccup if you use a phone camera. If we detect this, we’ll automatically rotate the image so that the music reads from top to bottom.

Support for more image types

For image uploads, we previously only supported JPGs and PNGs. We’ve expanded this to support four more formats: BMP, HEIC, TIFF and WEBP.
