New: Automatic syncpoints and more

We’ve launched a few improvements this week:

Automatic syncpoints

Soundslice can now guess the syncpoints for your audio and video!

You’ll now see an “Auto sync” button in our syncpoint editor:

The button is grayed-out until you’ve entered three syncpoints. Create at least three accurate syncpoints at the start of your audio, and the button will activate.

Once the button is activated, click it and we’ll populate the rest of the syncpoints. That’s it!

This works best for music with an obvious rhythmic pulse. For music with lots of rubato, your mileage may vary. In any case, why not just give it a try and see what happens?

Note this feature is limited to users in a paid plan. For more, including tips on how to best use it, see our new help page.

New metronome sound

We’ve improved our metronome so that downbeats get a different sound than non-downbeats — making it easier to keep track of where you are.

This also applies to our count-in feature.

Hide bar numbers

You can now opt to hide bar numbers in any slice you’ve created. Use the new “Hide all bar numbers” checkbox, which appears if you click a bar number or click the “Override bar number” editor command.
